There has always been a need to house what God is doing across the earth with His expression toward people.

Many buildings around the world have been erected as a declaration of what God was doing through all different generations, many of which still stand today. And there are new buildings to declare new works. Whether old or new, they all serve as signs of what God is or has been doing across the earth – very inspiring.

Pastor Brian and Bobbie penned a piece at Hillsong Church expression to the vision of our House – it’s called ‘The Church I Now See’.

One such paragraph reads, “Positioned in the heart of culture, in great diverse urban centres, I see buildings that struggle to contain the increase of all that God is doing; occupying land and places that are miraculous in provision and impossible to ignore.”

It makes every reasonable sense to be involved in building and extending Gods kingdom – from the business person to the trades person, the student and church worker, every area of society.

“King David declared, “My son Solomon is still young and inexperienced. And since the Temple to be built for the LORD must be a magnificent structure, famous and glorious throughout the world, I will begin making preparations for it now.” So David collected vast amounts of building materials before his death.” – 1 Chronicles 22:5

It’s always exciting to be involved in a church building program when you can see it now, and feel the benefit in our present situations. What inspires me about David is that he knew his son would build it, that he would never see it, but he could at least prepare for it. Oh to be a kingdom builder that doesn’t need the immediate result for spiritual satisfaction!

How great that we too can be inspired about what lays ahead, to see what the future generations will need. We can build for something beyond ourselves because we see beyond ourselves.

Let’s join king David with an insightful provision!
