Ruth Limkin is passionate about creating a better tomorrow and this has led her into all sorts of interesting spaces and experiences. She is currently the CEO of The Banyans Health and Wellness, a private health and wellness organization and retreat. Recent professional roles have included Chief of Staff to the Speaker of Queensland Parliament and Operations Manager for a Business Consultancy. Volunteering as a Non-Executive Director for a variety of not-for-profit organisations, Ruth loves communicating life changing ideas and advocating for the community, and is passionate about creating healthy societies for women and girls. Her variety of experiences means she has worn many hats, often at the same time. Some of these roles included starting a kindergarten, national media liaison for Red Frogs Chaplaincy Network, writer for the Courier Mail and other outlets, and being a pastor at Nexus Church for 14 years, overseeing a range of portfolios including Creative Arts, Young Adults, Communications, Community Engagement and the affiliated Charity, Nexus Care. Born in Japan, Ruth has spent most of her life in Brisbane. She considers herself extremely fortunate to have met and married a wonderful man with whom she enjoys the daily adventure of life. Her approach to life and leadership is shaped by faith, hope, love and coffee.
