Recently in an article, Lara Casey Editor-in-Chief of Southern Weddings magazine, reminds us God is the dream giver – He has called you for such a time as this!
It’s easy to think that, just because you don’t work in professional ministry, you aren’t equipped or capable of making an eternal impact. Maybe you don’t have any idea what to do with your life path yet. Maybe you have career hopped and haven’t yet found your thing. Maybe you are in a desk job that you don’t particularly love. It’s mundane. It’s nothing “special.” But, maybe you are exactly where God wants you. Maybe you are exactly where you need to be to live on purpose, and make a powerful impact for the Kingdom of God.
Read that last sentence again.
Let that truth sink in.
Maybe God has you right where He needs you.
Bloom where you are planted, friend. Let those roots dig in deep.
You know all those things God wants you to do? You should go do them.
The things that run deeper and are more thrilling than skydiving. The things that God purposed for you long before you took your first breath. The things that tug at your heart day and night, beckoning you to use your gifts. The things that reflect His light. If you see even a glimmer of one of those things, do it.
Life is too short to wait to do the good things God has put on your heart.
Hush the hustle. Hush the chatter in your head telling you that you aren’t enough. In God alone, you are. In choosing purpose over perfect, the dreams God gives us may be hard because they are bigger than us. But, in Him, we are part of a whole, and we help others to know that they are too. We are never alone. We are enough. We are free. Your purposeful path is waiting to be revealed step-by-step at the proper time—waiting for you to take the leap and say yes. And when you know where you are leaping, the how doesn’t matter as much as the why.
