We all know how important goals are to help you achieve your dreams and ambitions. It all makes sense right… breaking down your vision into bite-sized chunks to ensure you can achieve them. Interestingly though, 83% of people have no discernible goals at all and for those who do, only 3% have written them down.It is almost like the word goal is attached to some big grandiose plan, designed for ambitious business entrepreneurs and new year’s resolution diets. For the majority of us, the thought of having a goal and adding one extra thing to our schedule is just simply exhausting.

I would like to encourage you to think about goals differently. Think about them in respect to growing yourself as a person and tackling issues that are holding you back from what God is calling you to do.  John Maxwell was spot on when he said,

“Growth is the only guarantee that tomorrow will get better” – John Maxwell

Growth doesn’t just happen. You don’t just get over yourself with time, become less fearful as the years go on or love more abundantly because you just had another birthday. Without being purposeful, a lot of these things can actually get worse with time.  How do we become more “on purpose” and live with greater intention? By setting goals & reflection.Break down what you want to achieve in your personal growth and commit to daily practices.

“You’ll never change your life until you change something you do daily. The secret to success is found in the daily routine” – John Maxwell

What is one thing you can do regularly to tackle fear, to think less on yourself; maybe to tackle barriers in your life that have held you back? Write it down and share it with someone who will champion your personal growth. Create for yourself a different tomorrow.
