‘The Infinite Connection, Eye of One’

Sunset, shore, clouds.

It flowed through the gate-keeper’s welcoming embrace.

It shone as the evening Sun,

Off his neat white beard,

Sparkling momentarily…….

Reflecting,

Into the depth of our eyes.

It whispered,

‘I am here and so are you,

they are here and so am I,

you are here and so are they’.

…….

The land-keeper’s dream,

Instilled in her heart,

Clear,

as the crystal gifts brought a-land,

as the stars in this night’s sky,

Reflected,

Into the depth of our hearts.

The time for this dream’s emergence had come.

…….

The soul-keeper commenced her work…..

With those that had been, are and will be,

Time and space a myth,

The magical fire,

The resonant drums,

The miracle sounds,

The ancient dance.

The Circle of Stillness

In the sound……. the silence,

In the dark……. the light,

In the mind……. the heart

In the many……. the One

In the land……. the sky

In the Earth……. the Eye

Reflected,

Into the depth of our souls.

It whispered,

‘I am you and you are me,

they are you and I am they,

you are they and they are you,

One’.

Walid K

Walid recently rediscovered his passion for writing when he came across some poems which he had written more than 20 years ago.

Walid receives inspiration when spending time in nature and when reading or listening to authors like Alan Watts, Carl Gustav Jung, Fritjof Capra, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Gregg Braden, Bruce Lipton, Jim Rohn, Brian Tracy, Wayne Dyer, Denis Waitley and Anthony Robbins.

He also finds that he unveils deep insights and reflections when writing speeches that he delivers at his local Toastmasters’ public speaking club.

Rumi said, “there is a voice that doesn’t use words… listen”. When we spend time in nature, and when we read and write about subjects we resonate with, we begin to hear the whispers of our inner voice.
