‘One’, a piece I wrote for all of us

In the same way as she offered the land of life to her two hundred trees,

She created and shone her light on a space of co-emergence and co-creation,

Nurturing the minds, hearts and souls of a few inherently connected,

Her kind voice, present and grounding,

Radiating through the ether, distance not minding,

Her every meditation practice taking us to a state enlightening,

In natural alignment, a soul deeply connected to Gaia joined her journey,

With clear values of nature, determination and freedom,

Doing what she loves and loving what she does,

Close to heart, shifting patterns and structures to ‘come back as we were born’,

A butterfly, her life in service and inspiring,

Wise, composed, calm and patient,

The aspiring author spoke of three or quests of Unity,

Unity of mind, body and spirit,

Human to human unity, being oneness in humanity,

Humanity in line with nature, being one with nature,

Expressing herself through her heartfelt metaphors,

Her sincere and caring voice says it all,

Resonating a deep-rooted connection with and understanding of life,

In architecture, she said, ‘we look only from the outside’,

In the ‘dance of life’ though, ‘we are within it’,

The dream-maker, lives his dream to help us live ours,

With his deep understanding of how language shapes our perception,

Supporting us to make explicit our mental models,

The master communicator, synthesizer and a hub of knowledge,

Resetting to clarity our non-linear dynamic context,

He observed and listened carefully,

And spoke with kindness and gentleness,

He cares about shifting fragmentation to connection,

About integral education,

Physical, vital, mental, psychic and spiritual,

Like an arrow that had been waiting patiently on the string of a stretched bow,

Intuitively knowing the underlying question of every seeker here, and so,

He asked…… ‘what is the meaning of life?’

As if the trees had whispered to her, she answered instinctively from her heart……

In her present and grounding voice, she said,

‘the purpose of life is to live’,

Just as the Ginkgo leaf from the East revealed a secret,

The journey from his mind to his heart, arrived sudden,

Like a wave scélérate, unpredictable, but un-coincidental,

Manifested into the mindful place on a land…… a mother and her child,

He experienced the presence his heart seeked…… he already knew within,

Deep breathing and meditation……

Makes our traveller feel alive…… her heart, mind and body engaged,

Where time does not matter,

As she saw everyone as ‘a shine of the sun', so she saw herself,

Her kindness shines through with her every word and authentic smile,

With his longing for equality and justice,

He shares his stories of the disruption of patterns to move truth to emergence,

One step, one meeting, one person at a time,

He brings conscious leadership and awareness to his community,

Striving for cooperation, unity and wholeness,

And he who is transitioning from linear to flow,

He spoke to us of the soul that dreamt it was a butterfly,

And when awakened did not know whether it was then a human dreaming it was a butterfly,

Or if it was now a butterfly, dreaming it is a human,

A scientist in mind, a philosopher in spirit, a human in heart,

He now knows the secret…… in the same way as the Ginkgo leaf……

‘Which had divided?’ but then decided ‘That they should be as One?’,

He is the butterfly, a human, and the dream, all as One!

And he, who knows in his heart and soul, that,

‘I am you and you are me’,

As he seeks and learns,

He peels off layer after layer to find his inner voice, which does not use words,

At this moment though, it whispers ‘your purpose is connection’,

And because we see all the above in each other, we also see them in ourselves.

For that, we thank one another and ourselves.

With love & all as One!

Walid K

Walid recently rediscovered his passion for writing when he came across some poems which he had written more than 20 years ago.

Walid receives inspiration when spending time in nature and when reading or listening to authors like Alan Watts, Carl Gustav Jung, Fritjof Capra, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Gregg Braden, Bruce Lipton, Jim Rohn, Brian Tracy, Wayne Dyer, Denis Waitley and Anthony Robbins.

He also finds that he unveils deep insights and reflections when writing speeches that he delivers at his local Toastmasters’ public speaking club.

Rumi said, “there is a voice that doesn’t use words… listen”. When we spend time in nature, and when we read and write about subjects we resonate with, we begin to hear the whispers of our inner voice.
